Octopolis is a large-scale immersive art installation that bridges creativity, environmental responsibility, and long-term ecological impact. This monumental piece combines interactive technology, education, and conservation to raise awareness about the intelligence and importance of octopuses and the conservation and restoration of our surroundings and marine ecosystem. Initially showcased as interactive art in the desert, Octopolis will later be repurposed and deployed into the ocean. This dual-purpose vision allows the work to live beyond the festival, contributing to coral restoration efforts and serving as shelter for small fish and other ocean species that have been displaced by habitat loss. We aim to encourage people to see creativity not just as temporary expression, but as a force for renewal, sustainability, and care for our planet.
