A message from Joel Krantz:

Since crowdfunding is essentially personal, I will take this opportunity to open my heart to you. As the creator of this musical, it has lived between my ears, on my desk and in my computer for a lifetime. You would laugh if I told you how many versions of the script I have. I have stuck with it because I believe it is my best way to be relevant in this world. I believe the things that have moved me can be moving to others. I believe that music, when combined with a powerful story, has the most profound impact on an audience; that the characters in great musicals live forever. I want these characters to live forever. That is reason "Ocean in a Teacup" became a mission for me. The hero of the show was my first mentor. I lived in the community he built for 10 years. His teacher, Thakur is one of the great spiritual leaders of the 20th Century. These were inspired men, living inspirational lives. Yes, I want them to live forever!

Now I have an opportunity to present this epic musical to musical theatre professionals who can help give it life. I'm mounting what is called an Industry Reading on June 25th in NYC.
