OCD Residential Fund
Donation protected
This is the way we will always see our children. No matter what age. My daughter is 16 now, not the age of the little girl in the picture. She has OCD. She has had it all of her life. It was manageable until the pandemic.
In these few years she began to silently spiral. Until one day everything fractured. She became debilitated by her OCD. She was diagnosed with extreme OCD and almost lost her life from it in July.
Most people have no idea how devastating this neurological condition can be. It is heart breaking. However, with the proper therapies it can give life back and keep it sustained. I am asking for donations for my daughter to be able to attend a residential care facility to give her a chance to successfully live her life again.
Out patient therapy is not a sufficient option for her level of care at this point. OCD is often over looked and misdiagnosed. Without proper specialized therapy it has the ability destroy a person. Many people suffer for years not knowing what is actually happening.
Insurance won't help us and there are no scholarships or grants available for this. I have exhausted all efforts. I am already dealing with a large sum of medical bills and am not asking for any thing outside of purely the quote of the residential care facility. I know it's a huge sum, and I don't expect to meet it completely, but anything and everything helps. You will be helping my baby girl come back home to herself, to live again. I appreciate anyone that took the time to read this. Thank you.
