Scott Hayes Handicap Accessible Van

Friends, back in August of 2014 I asked you to help Scott Hayes complete his bucket list before ALS robbed him of his physical abilities. I wrote of a sense of urgency for Scott to live life as fully as he could while he remained mobile. He has done just that, packing the last eight months with many beautiful memories.

It's time now to turn our attention towards helping Scott and Sonja to live with ALS.

One of the biggest obstacles to leading "normal" lives remains that of mobility. Home renovations have been undertaken, such as making the bathroom wheelchair accessible, widening doorways, and adding a wheelchair ramp entrance. But transportation is still a major concern. Scott needs a wheelchair accessible van.

A new one is financially out of the question. It is our hope that the continued support and generosity of the community will make it possible to purchase a vehicle that will meet their needs.
