Obtain transportation for cancer treatment

My name is Shaleese Walker. On August 3rd, 2022 my life was altered due to a senseless act.  I got caught in the middle of a police chase in Burien, WA. I was sitting at a red light  in the distance in front of me I saw police lights. Not even a minute later as a car is passing in front of me a car comes out of nowhere and hits the car right in front of me. This car I would later find out was stolen and being chased by the police. After the stolen car hit the other car it rolled over the front of my car making it completely inoperable ( a total) loss.

While I did have insurance I didn't have uninsured motorist protection.

My insurance will cover the remaining balance on my car, however that will leave me without a car.

Having transportation is extremely important. I was diagnosed with stage 4 Neuro Endocrine cancer in June of 2021.

When my car was hit I was in the process of Moving from Burien, WA to Tacoma, WA. My move to Tacoma has now made it extremely difficult to get to my monthly treatments without a car.

I am seeking help to obtain a vehicle to get me to and from my treatments.
