Rich O'Brien is currently at Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital fighting for his life. He tested positive for COVID-19 and has been in the hospital since early April. Today marks day 18 of him being on a ventilator.

Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, Rich was diagnosed with AFib in December and then leukemia in January. He started his first round of rigorous chemotherapy treatment in February and his second round in March. Shortly after that he was infected with COVID-19 possibly while on duty.

Rich has been a Cook County Sheriff's Deputy for 27 years. He's been married for almost 25 of those years to the love of his life, Cindi O'Brien. They have three beautiful children, Katie (23), Amy (21), and Zach (17).

We are taking this day-by-day and praying so hard for Rich to come out of this. We are asking for all the love, hugs, and prayers you can send right now.
