As many of you are aware, Cathrine recently suffered a catastrophic shoulder injury. And I have been virtually unemployed for over a month. Cathrine is on the mend and I start a new (real, adult) job in January. However, Cath is expected to be out of work for 6 months and we are looking at 6 weeks before her disability kicks in, while I am still several weeks away from a paycheck.

We squirreled enough away, thanks to some of you, for a decent Christmas for our boys, and many more of you have already contributed in multiple ways, be it food, gift cards or cash, which we deeply appreciate and are still using. But we are now staring down a harsh reality; winter with little-to-no income.

You know the rest; mortgage and car payments, utilities, food and beverage, etc. We will and always have found a way to persevere through tough times, but, I'm not gonna lie, this one is pretty daunting. It tough to ask for help, but here we are. Thanks.
