Matt O'Boyle is an Operation Iraqi Freedom vet.  We are trying to raise funds again to help pay for a wheelchair van.  Please take some time and read through the story and updates of the last horrible year and a half. In early February 2020 Matt was admitted to the hospital with Strep B sepsis.  The infection attacked his back, heart, liver and brain.  He ended up losing the use of his legs, but he was pulling thru and the outlook was good for him becoming mobile again down the road.  A couple of weeks before he was to be sent home in April he started retaining fluid.  His heart was getting worse.  He was taken to Kootenai Medical Center and then flown to Seattle because the operation he needs to have a chance at surviving this is complicated.  He is going in for the first surgery 4/27 with it being risky because of the complications with the infection.
Matt is everything to his family.  He is a husband, friend,  father, and son.  You can always find him relaxing at the cabin which is his favorite place on earth.  He is always willing to make pizzas for friends and loves having people over.  He was a member of 1-161 C company and always loves getting together with his brothers any time he can.  He served two tours in Iraq taking him away for over a year at a time to serve his country.
Matt has been in the hospital for over 2 months and right now we are not sure if he is going to make it.   All I want is to see him sitting on the deck.  The last thing he said to me was not to worry, he was going to make it and to stay strong.  That is one of the hardest things to do.
Any help at this time is greatly appreciated to help get through this terrible time.
