O-Bots 2023 FIRST Championship Houston

This is Tom Hannan. Since 2011, I have been a mentor for the local high school robotics team. I've had the extraordinary privilege to witness the growth in knowledge, maturity and confidence of these engineering team students. Combining the excitement of sport with the rigors of science and technology, FIRST Robotics Competition is the ultimate Sport for the Mind™. High-school student participants call it “the hardest fun you’ll ever have.”

The O-Bots have qualified to compete at the 2023 FIRST® Championship in Houston, April 19-22.

This is the culminating, international event for our youth robotics competition season and an annual celebration of science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) for our community as we prepare young people for the future.

These funds will be used to offset transportation and lodging expenses for the team.
