Oblivion Staff Relief Fund
Donation protected
The COVID-19 threat has been hard on everyone. As a precaution, many businesses have shut their doors and if we're lucky, some restaurants are still offering curbside and delivery service. However, the food service industry is still being severely affected, including Oblivion.
As a super small business, one bad month can be crippling. Since the COVID-19 pandemic began, we've seen a 95% decrease in sales, So, unfortunately, Friday, March 20th will be the last day we’ll be taking phone and online orders until further notice. However, we still have bills due and we're struggling to pay for our larger expenses.
It's difficult for us to ask for your help, but here we are...
♪♫ Toss a coin to your friendly neighborhood Oblivion Comics & Coffee ♫♪
We know this is a crazy time for all, but if you're able, we're asking for your help in providing funding for various necessities, including lost wages for our staff.
If for any reason your donations exceed our goal, the amount will go towards 1 month of rent and then back to our staff again.
Again, we know times are tough for everybody, so if you're unable to donate to our relief fund, perhaps instead you'd be interested in supporting us by placing an order by Friday, March 20th, 8a-3p? You can purchase comics over the phone as well as coffee bar purchases, which can additionally be ordered for delivery via GrubHub or Postmates. After all, you still have to eat and stay entertained during these (hopefully brief!) troubling times.
Lastly, even just sharing this campaign with your friends and family would be incredibly helpful. You never know who might be a geek willing to help us out.
Our staff and customers are extremely important to us. We hope to be able to find a way to get through this together and be able to see you again soon for more coffee and comics in-store. Cross your fingers we'll be open in time for our 3 year anniversary Celebration on May 1-3!
In the meantime, be safe and healthy <3
