Obi was diagnosed with hip dysplasia, osteoarthritis and had lumbosacral osteochondritis at 7 months old ❤️
In August 2023 he went through spinal surgery, in July 2024 he had his first full hip replacement. And in July this year he is due to have his second full hip replacement.
Obi doesn’t let his conditions stop him from loving life, he’s the happiest little guy who’s everyone’s friend (and will take a treat from just about anyone!)
He has insurance but unfortunately the insurance doesn’t cover the full amount of the surgery.
Obi has gabapentin 3 times a day and metacam once a day to keep him as pain free as possible.
He has hydrotherapy and laser therapy weekly and physio monthly (plus at home physio inbetween)
Obi is not even 3 years old yet and once he’s had his final surgery he can go on to enjoy a full pain free life.
Anything that you can possibly donate will be so much appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this ❤️ You can see more on Obi’s story on his instagram
