Everyone meet Obi. He has had quite the journey so far for only being a 4 month old little guy. I found him sitting in the middle of the road with a severe abscess on the side of his neck. When I scooped him up, he looked so deeply at me (seemingly into my soul), I knew he was desperate for help. He was incredibly malnourished, and all he did that night was eat and eat and eat. I took him to the ER the next morning, and they found he had a pneumothorax, bruising on his lungs, and a significant inguinal hernia involving a large portion of his large intestine. He was also anemic and required a blood transfusion. Despite all of these complications, he continued to be his resilient little self and eat and drink and occasionally purr. He’s set to have surgery to repair his hernia and continue his recovery journey, and hopefully return home to his new very loving home where his brothers and sisters are eagerly awaiting his arrival!
I have always believed the main reason I have been put on this earth is to help animals in need, and I believe we were meant to find each other that night for this reason. I understand he is just a drop in the bucket compared to all the other little ones out there still in need of help, but we all have to start somewhere. I appreciate you all for taking time to read about his journey
