OB-GYN SURGICAL /MEDICAL MISSION

I am Mrs. Charina Cobangco Inigo, a resident of California, but was born in Candon, Ilocos Sur, Philippines. I would like to sponsor an OB-GYN Medical and Surgical mission in my hometown on May 14 - 18, 2018. This endeavor is in partnership with Kalusugan ng Kababaihang Pangkabayanan, Inc. (KNKPInc).
KNKPInc, a non profit organizationm composed of 87 medical and paramedical members with kindred spirits who banded together to promote womens health and empowerment through medical and surgical missions. This organization was born out of the realization that poor and marginalized Filipino women still suffer from inadequate or, worse, lack of, access to good quality health care. Those that live in the countryside are the most struck by the ill effects of delays in preventative care disease management. Since its inception in 2009, KNKPInc has already preformed three (3) OB-GYNE Surgical Misiions and 19 OB-GYNE Medical Missions across the Philippines, as well as a two day medical mission for the victims of typhoon YOLANDA (Haiyan) in the Visayas.
Candon City is now a component of the North though, a significant percentage of the city's population, most especially the female population, is still in need of access to good and quality helth care. To make this mission a success and to help as many people as possible, the organization needs medicines, surgical supplies, and equipment as well as accomodations for the medical personnel who are giving their services for free.
It is for this reason that I appeal to your kind and generous heart for any assistance that can help ensure this mission a success. By helping one another, we can bring hope and support to those in need of healthcare in Candon city.
