Recently, Obbie Schlom was in a horse accident where she was kicked in the leg by a horse and developed compartment syndrome. Emergency surgery was performed to save her leg and she spent about a week in the hospital. She has since been discharged but she has quite a bit of healing left to do at home.
Unfortunately, in the horse training and ranching business, if you can’t work, you don’t get paid. There isn’t any disability or paid time off from work.
To make matters worse, while Obbie was in the hospital she had her truck, a trailer, and over $10,000 worth of gear stolen from her property.
Obbie, being the tough cookie she is, would NEVER complain or ask for help. She doesn’t even like to tell people when she’s injured or struggling. Anyone who knows Obbie knows that she could be down to her last dollar and she would still give it to someone in need if they asked.
I would like to raise money to help pay her medical bills, help her with lost income and to recover from the thefts.
thank you all for your generosity and God bless!
