Oasis from treatment for my dad

Hello, I'm Sarah. I'm doing this in desperation for my dad.
This is reallllllyyyyyy hard for me & after 3 months of contemplation, we have decided we really need to do this.
I am doing this now because my dad falling deeper into depression & we are having a hard time getting him up and out. He has pancreatic cancer stage 4 & having the hardest time. In the last month he has lost 20lbs and we need to make this happen soon for him.
The goal is to make our backyard accessible so he can safely spend time back there. We need to put a deck in and build something to provide privacy for him so he can be comfortable and not think about cancer.
He is too sick to travel, he gets tired so quickly. So this is the best thing we can do for him.
About my dad:
Wow, where do I begin? My dad worked for over 20yrs in a service truck on call 24/7. This job he gave EVERYTHING. He helped so many guys on the side of the highway every winter for years in -30 weather. I'd hear him answer that call at 3am all jolly and happily. That's my dad. The phone rings, he races out the door. For his family, for strangers, for me 3hrs away to fix my car when I lived in Calgary.
He's the definition of hero.
He's so many people's hero, I am trying so bad to be his.
Recently I've gotten to see a small spark when we talk about the back yard. It's almost the only thing he truly has interest in!
It would also be amazing because he needs a safe place to have visitors without too much risk.
I wanna make something really amazing for my dad.
I just want to add that I really would not be asking if he didn't really need this.
Ahh, if you've read this far - we appreciate it so much.
