We believe rowing should be for everyone, and thanks to your support, Harlem River Community Rowing has kept programs free and open to New Yorkers of all backgrounds. Every year, more people discover the joy, teamwork, and empowerment that come from being on the water.

To keep that mission afloat, we’re launching our year-end campaign: Oar We There Yet? Help Us Row Into 2026!

Our goal is to raise $15,000 by the end of 2025 to purchase:

A new launch (our motorized safety and coaching boat, plus necessary safety equipment), which will double HRCR’s capacity for our learn to row and skills building sessions.

A new set of 8+ oars that will power our crews through the next season and beyond.

These upgrades will ensure safety on the water with additional coaching and rescue equipment, deliver better performance and an improved experience for rowers, and allow for free and accessible rowing opportunities for even more New Yorkers.

Here’s how your gift makes a direct impact:

$10 – Gas for the Launch: Helps keep our new launch fueled!

$25 – Stroke Starter: Contributes toward critical safety gear for the new launch.

$100 – Oar by Oar: Covers one of the 30 shares needed to fully fund the 8+ oars.

$375 – Power the Crew: Covers the cost of one full oar for our new 8+.

$1,000 – Launch Builder: Anchors the cost of our new launch (12 gifts at this level would fully fund it!).

$2,500 – Crew Champion: A transformative gift that nearly covers the entire oar set OR one-fifth of the launch.
