Local Food and Drink, Live Entertainment, Rock Painting and a Chili Cookoff
WHY? Because Oakridge is full of some of the most talented people on the planet, we need to showcase our people and town.
It will be a busy day visiting all the art and business booths.
-Bring your appetite for local dishes and drinks.
-Listen to local music, dance with the DJ or raise your voice in the sing-alongs.
-Wear your play clothes so you can paint rocks, or help hide some in the park.
-Bring bikes to decorate and parade
This event is multi-purpose to help our neighbors, on October 18th
- support the Save TV Butte movement with signatures and cash
- bring non-perishables items for people and pets to fill our food pantry
- bring small bills to vote in the 'Shoebox Beast' fundraiser
- bring painted rocks to brighten our town
There is free space for all Oakridge-Westfir locals to share their musical, artistic, business and culinary talents.
PHASE ONE - Fundraising & Painting Rocks- March 2025
Local city funding is limited, and we need about $6000 to make this a success. We need to get insurance, porta-potties, advertising, prizes, banners, kid art supplies, odds & ends, and some fun things for the volunteers.
At this moment in time, Oakridge has very little identity, setting us apart from small towns in Lane County and Oregon. I would like us to be known for our painted rocks because they are an easy resource for everyone in town to create. Plus, finding tiny treasures brightens everyone's day. Please you and your family to start gathering, painting, and saving your rocks for phase two.
I appreciate any and all help to make this event a success!

TV Butte is seen from every angle of Oakridge. The sound of a rock crusher and random blasting will ruin our lives 14 hours a day 6 days a week. The bright lights and noise will ruin our elk calving ground and our blossoming tourist industry.
