My name is Mindy Tyus. I’m the grandmother of Oaklynn she was born on August 7. Two 7 lbs. 3 oz. beautiful baby girl, but unexpectedly she was born with a cleft pallet. What intern is the root of her mouth and platform together and so she is not able to eat like a normal baby. She is on a feeding tube. It is gonna be a long journey for her as she will need many doctors speech therapist and a surgery to repair this and it could affect her speech and her hearing she is in the Nicu and we are not sure when she’s gonna be able to come home. Unfortunately, this was not detected in the ultrasounds as her lips and her gums are perfect. The hospital is about an hour away from her house which means lots of trips lots of doctors appointments and unexpected expenses.

My son, Dylan, and his girlfriend Idalmis our young parents Idalmis is going to school for nursing and will have to stay home and care for her baby when she does finally come home. Dylan will be working.

Her family is in Puerto Rico and our family is in Illinois asked how can we help? This is the only thing I could come up with.

Oaklynn is surrounded by love and we are getting her the best care that we can. This is going to be a long journey for this young couple and this beautiful baby girl if you could help them, I would be much appreciated even just to share in a prayer thank you all so much and I will keep you updated.
