Oak Life Church - Pastoral Resident

Hi Friends and Family,
I'm excited to invite you to support my 9-month pastoral residency at Oak Life Church, in Oakland, CA. This residency serves as my supervised practice of ministry and is required as part of my seminary curriculum at San Francisco Theological Seminary.
The funds raised here will be designated to Oak Life's Pastoral Resident fund, which will finance my time at Oak Life Church. On August 21st, 2016, I began working as a pastoral resident for Oak Life using my gifts to support the leadership team and the church community. My residency will focus on church operations, designing worship, preaching, spiritual formation, and providing pastoral care to the community.
I will be working 20 hours a week at a rate of $25/hour for 9 months. As a small church plant in Oakland, Oak Life is not able to fully fund the cost of my residency, so I will be raising support as a local missionary. I am thankful for Oak Life’s support of my missional fundraising by donating the first $3,000 to my campaign.
There are several ways to get involved in supporting my Oak Life Residency fund (note: all donations are tax deductible):
1) Pray – as often as you think of my pastoral residency, pray for me.
2) Click share – one campaign share is equivalent to donating $25. So, if you can’t give financially, please consider sharing this page on social media.
3) Monthly donations – it may be easier to donate once a month, for example a monthly donation of $100 would fund 4 of my working hours that month.
4) Group up - get a group of friends together to donate 1 week/month of my residency, which is $500/$2,000. Take a chance and invite the people in your life to support a local missionary.
5) One-time gift – it may be more convenient to give a one-time gift. For example, year-end giving for tax purposes.
As my time in seminary comes to a close, I am so grateful for the love and support of my community of family and friends. I could not have made it this far in my Master of Divinity program without the love and support of all of you. It means so much to me that you’ve even read my campaign page this far. I know that I have your prayers and am thankful for your love and friendship.
