Early in 2015, Oakley Elementary school won a playground grant to build a much needed new playground. But, in the process, due to grant stipulations, the big swing had to be removed.

I spoke up and informed the team that once the Kaboom dust settled, we could simply raise the $10,000 needed to install another swing set, and make the playground even better.

Bring Back The Oakley Swings is my own personal way of saying "Thanks" Oakley Elementary School for the 6 great years that my kid attended. Little did I know that it would be a place of healing and growth for me as a parent and a community member.

The cost is $10,000. Sounds like a big number, but working together, we can get it done!
