All GoFund Me donations will be transferred into the PTSA account slated for soccer.

These Donations will determine whether many deserving students will be a part of the Bulldogs, Oakland Tech High School's soccer team. The team is woefully underfunded- with Oakland Tech and the Oakland school district providing only nominal funding for the soccer program.

Skyrocketing uniform and field equipment costs are prohibitive and playing sports is incresingly expensive. NBC Nightly News recently aired a report https://www.nbcnews.com/nightly-news/video/some-are-spending-hundreds-or-thousands-to-keep-their-kids-in-youth-sports-148683333943 stating that “kids are in or they are out” due to financial demands of sports participation.

Last season both the girls and boys varsity teams made it to the finals and this season promises a chance at winning the competition. With a club made up of 5 teams we’re asking for your support in building a sustainable soccer program for our student athletes- and future athletes that will help empower their success and enable them to be championship contenders. Your generous donations will help to support FIVE soccer teams (three boys & two girls) with a total of 110 student athletes.

Priorities include:

- Practice t-shirts and shorts

- Game uniforms

- Safety equipment (1st aid)

- Soccer balls

- Goal keeper equipment

- Small stipends for coaches and assistant coaches

- Film equipment

- Updates to our facilities
