Hello Beloveds. This is Piper, parent to Max (17) and Awen (3), spouse of Fox (fka Zia). I'm struggling to make the financial pieces of a puzzle come together, and I'm reaching out for help.
This Spring, my wife Fox received a serious mental health diagnosis called OSDD, linked with systemic injustice and personal past trauma history. Since then, I've been underemployed, Fox has lost her job, and both of us have been out of work from Preschool Plagues and school closures. We've run through our savings and paid September rent only through a contribution from our church. Though unemployment has come through, so far food stamps have not. Meanwhile, Fox's mental health has kept declining.
The good news is that we found her a residential program that can take her! She even has a probable job offer waiting for her when she comes back. She left for the inpatient program on Tuesday 11/14 to stay for about a month, and after that we believe she'll be much healthier. I'm caring for both children and working as much as I can, but it's not likely to add up to enough.
This is where you come in! I'm asking for donations to help cover the following expenses:
-December rent
-December preschool tuition
-groceries
-December COBRA insurance for Fox (so she can stay at the inpatient program after 12/1)
There's a lot of stress at home right now with so much change and expense. We all miss Fox terribly. I know our lives will get better soon, and that is an immense blessing. Any contributions you can make will let us all breathe easier and hold each other through these so-long nights until Fox comes home.
Winter Blessings,
Piper, Max, and Awen
