Oakland High Bassoon
Donation protected

Oakland High School has restarted its music program after many years without one and it needs to replace many instruments that were lost or stolen in the intervening years. The music director has reached out to the Oakland Civic Orchestra, Community Women's Orchestra, and Prometheus Orchestra in Oakland California as part of his effort to reconnect Oakland High's music program to others in the community.
Among the new ensembles is an orchestra, and no orchestra is complete without bassoons, and bassoons are expensive. They have one bassoonist who is an outstanding student and is dedicated to developing her ability, but she is using an instrument temporarily loaned to the school and she needs to have a permanent and reliable instrument to continue growing.
Please help make the gift of a bassoon to Oakland High School possible. I've found a Schreiber that is in good condition and sounds wonderful.
All we need is you and your friends to help buy it so she has it when she returns from the holidays! All donations are welcome, but it would be especially helpful if you could give $50 or more. Thank you in advance for your gift!
