Matthew Granz Replacement Camera

My friend Matt Granz  is a fantastic photographer. I've been raving about his works for years now. Go to his Flickr page and check out his stuff.

Last night, he witnessed a mugging and being the type of upstanding citizen that he is, he gave chase, tripped, got cut up a bit, and hurt his writs. He also broke his camera and lens in the process.

Unfortunately, like so many of us, times are hard and he has no insurance to replace the damaged camera (Nikon D7100) and his lens (Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 AT-X 116 Pro DX Autofocus Lens), and he is just too good an artist and a person to be in this predicament.

I am asking that anyone who believes in this man's talent the way I do, please consider a donation to help him continue teaching and pursuing his art and also provide some much needed funds to cover not only replacing the camera and lens but also providing the necessary funds for insurance for a few months while he recovers and gets back to doing what he does best.
