Can I get a hip, hip, hooray?

This is Cindy Bradford, and I’m trying to assist everybody’s favorite friend, Winnie Winscott! On St. Patrick’s Day, she will be undergoing a total hip replacement. We all know Winnie, and we know that she has not EVER lived life as a spectator! Many years of playing every sport imaginable; pretending to run into trees to make people laugh as a child; riding skateboards over the age of 40; falling out of a pick-up truck during Mobile’s Joe Cain Day Mardi Gras parade; taking risks in fun adventures of all kinds; as well as 25 years of working with elderly, foster youth, and developmentally disabled populations have taken their toll on the Winster’s hip-ster!
Winnie is currently working for a small business, who in her words, have taken her in and treated her “like family.” She now has the medical insurance required to undergo this surgery, which she has needed for a VERY long time! If she does not have this surgery, she will become permanently disabled. Unfortunately, because they are a small business she will not be receiving pay during her recovery time. This is why I’m initiating this fundraising effort!
Winnie has an amazingly generous spirit. She has readily helped others in many ways throughout the years. If you know her, you know that she has a HUGE heart and would do anything for anyone at any given time with great pleasure! If you can help, no amount is too small. A donation of $20 could be a prescription; a bag of dog food for Gally and Ellie Mae Clampett Winscott; a good meal; a phone bill; or taxi ride. Anything you can consider giving would be greatly appreciated and definitely NEEDED! Let’s get Winnie dancing again!
