Imani's Erbs Palsy Journey

Imani "miss piggy" was born with what is called Erbs Palsy or Brachial Plexus Injury. This was due to a injury, which was a rupture of nerves located in her neck. It traumatized her at birth leaving her semi paralytic on her right arm. With her compromised immune system she somehow developed a staphylococcus infection of the skin at only 2 weeks old. By continuous prayers from family and friends she made a great recovery after spending 28 days in PICU. She continues to make strides with her Erbs Palsy by extensive physical therapy 2 days per week. I've been battling with insurance companies to provide her with a nerve graft surgery which may improve the function in her right arm. Due to regulations that a nerve grafting surgery is not a medical emergency or necessity I'm unsure of the approval. I'm raising money to help fund surgery, medical expenses and travel expenses to Houston, TX to the Erbs Palsy Institute so my daughter could function as a normal child with her right arm.
