Thanks for considering to donate to our team.  The Unified Sports program is a collaboration between NYSPHAA and the Special Olympics. It's goals are to encourage interaction between regular education students and students with developmental disabilities; and to give students who typically would not be able to compete in interscholastic sports the opportunity.
Last year we piloted the program with other high schools in our area and it was a great success. Our basketball team had a blast and many athletes enjoyed true competition on the court  for the very first time. I, as a coach, have had few experiences as rewarding as this and look forward to many more seasons.
The only thing we lack are real uniforms. However, new uniforms are very expensive and there are precious few dollars in our school budget as is. Our goal is to raise enough money to purchase real uniforms for the team to use year to year and hopefully collect enough donations to cover personalized shooting shirts that the athletes can keep.
