Harold Bragg's Cancer Treatment

This fund is to raise money for my Dad Harold Bragg and his cancer treatment.  After fighting prostate cancer over a year ago (and it being cleared) he has now been diagnosed with it once again; this time stage 4.  A bone scan shows that it has not spread to his bones which is good news but it has spread to other areas which means a long road of treatment for my father.  The Doctor has prescribed a medication called Zytiga which can help with his particular type of cancer but it is very expensive (over $7500 for 120 day supply) and his medicare does not cover it.  My parents are looking into ways of getting the cost down but there are also doctor visits, tests, and out of pocket expenses that need covered in addition to the medication he needs.

Saying my Dad has been a hard worker and would never ask for help is the understatement of the century. Out of the many things he has done in his life he has been a truck driver, horse trainer, father, grandfather, and husband.  He earned every cent he ever got through hard work doing mainly manual labor jobs and took care of his family in every way.

In his life he has overcome so much like dropping out of school at a young age, living in foster homes and children's services facilities, and losing a brother in the Korean War (and going to Korea himself) but instead of giving up he worked hard to become a successful man in every sense of the word.  He is one of those unique individuals that touches so many lives it is hard to say how far his reach goes but I know it spreads very far over the race tracks he raced horses at.  He has always been the most amazing role model because he speaks his mind, means what he says, works hard, and most of all was always there to help someone when they were down.  My fathers kindness to others over the years is why I wanted to create this fund for him.

My Dad is one of the strongest men I have ever met and also one of the most loving.  He has been an great husband to my Mom who he absolutely adores.  He is also a father to 6  and a grandfather as well.  I know he can fight this diasese but I also know in order to fight it he should not be stressing about how to pay for medical treatments.  I also know that he is the type of man who would not do treatment if he thought the expenses were going to be a burden on my Mom or anyone else.

Even if you are not able to donate please send prayers and postive thoughts my Dads way and thank you for reading.
