Gonzalo's US Work Permit

Hi, my name is Gonzalo, and I'm an actor from Mexico City. I moved to the US to pursue my career and graduated from The University of Oklahoma with a BFA in Musical Theatre. I'm currently based out of New York City, where I have been able to work under an OPT permit. This specific permit came with several restrictions, but I still managed to perform in musical productions around the country and even guest-star in a couple of TV shows!

I'm now faced with a challenging and expensive visa application to be allowed to stay and continue working in this country. The O-1 visa application and legal fees are roughly $8,500-$9,000. I have set a goal higher than this amount to account for gofundme fees. I have created this since I’m also not legally allowed to work at all during this time, or I could face deportation. My family and I have sacrificed a lot to settle legal matters up to this point, but we genuinely need help this time.
