O meu nome é Catarina e faço parte de uma família com outros três elementos: o Wally, a Jazz e o Pickles.

Neste momento cada um deles enfrenta desafios de saúde - O Wally precisa de cuidados de saúde para a próstata, a Jazz luta diariamente contra a diabetes e o Pickles enfrenta um linfoma.

Com a tua ajuda, poderei garantir que continuam a viver com amor, conforto e dignidade.

O Wally entrou na minha vida com apenas dois meses e conquistou o meu coração desde o primeiro momento. Agora, está a ser acompanhado para evitar problemas mais graves na próstata e precisará de cuidados médicos para continuar a ter uma vida saudável e feliz.

A Jazz chegou para fazer companhia ao Wally e rapidamente se tornou parte da família. Esta guerreira foi diagnosticada com diabetes mellitus no final de Abril de 2025 e cada dose de insulina, bem como cada exame, fazem toda a diferença na sua qualidade de vida. Precisa de acompanhamento regular, insulina diária, alimentação veterinária e análises frequentes para manter a doença controlada.

O Pickles apareceu frágil e doente, mas o amor transformou-o no nosso gato valente e carinhoso. Hoje luta contra um linfoma, além de ser portador de leucemia felina (FelV). Cada consulta e tratamento é crucial para que continue ao nosso lado, cheio de vida e amor.

O linfoma mediastinal em gatos é um tipo de cancro que afeta os linfonodos do mediastino, a área entre os pulmões, e/ou o timo, uma glândula localizada no peito. Esta doença é mais comum em gatos jovens e está frequentemente associada ao vírus da leucemia felina (FeLV).

Estes três companheiros fazem parte da minha família há muitos anos.

Sempre cuidei deles com todo o meu amor, mas neste momento o meu amor não é suficiente para acompanhar os crescentes e insustentáveis custos médicos: consultas veterinárias de especialidade, exames de diagnóstico, análises frequentes, insulina, alimentação veterinária e medicação diária para a Jazz, tratamentos oncológicos para o Pickles, e o acompanhamento médico do Wally para um futuro menos incerto.

Decidi por isso criar esta página.

My name is Catarina and I am part of a family with three other members: Wally, Jazz, and Pickles. At this time, each of them are facing serious health issues - Wally need prostate treatment, Jazz faces a daily struggle against diabetes, and Pickles fights a lymphoma.

With your help, we can make sure they keep on living with love, care and dignity.

Wally entered my life while he was only two months old and conquered my heart from the very first moment. He is now under evaluation to avoid the development of more serious health problems regarding the prostate and will need medical care to keep enjoying a healthy, happy life.

Jazz arrived to keep Wally company and quickly became an integral part of the family.

This warrior was diagnosed with diabetes mellitus at the end of April 2025, and each dose of insulin, as well as every examination, are paramount to her quality of life. She needs regular care, daily insulin shots, prescribed veterinary feed, and frequent analysis to keep the disease under control.

Pickles showed up in a bad shape, but love and affection turned him in into our strong and caring feline. Today he is facing a lymphoma, and FelV (feline leucemia). Each appointment and each treatment are crucial in order for him to stay by our side, filled with love and life.

Mediastinal lymphoma is a type of cancer that affects the mediastinum lymph nodes, the area between the lungs and/or the thymus, a gland that is located in the chest area. This disease in is more common in younger cats and is usually a consequence of FeLV (feline leucemia).

These three companions are a part of my family for many years.

I always took care of them with all my heart, but unfortunately right now my heart is losing the race against the growing veterinary costs, which are too much for me to handle: Jazz’s specialized veterinary appointments, diagnosis exams, frequent analysis, insulin shots, prescribed veterinary feed and daily medication, Pickle’s oncologic treatment and Wally’s medical care for a less uncertain future.

That’s why I created this page.

Any help, as small as it might be, will mean the world to these three loving animals, as they will continue to be able to get the dignity, care, and love they deserve - the bare minimum they deserve.
