Theresa’s battle has begun!

My mom was recently diagnosed with colon cancer, she been doing childcare/ daycare for as long as I can remember. Unfortunately, with being self employed she has not been able to afford insurance, which probably put us in the predicament we are in now. My mom is 57 years old, she became very ill in August 2023 which we thought was from Ecoli which unfortunately we found out was really the colon cancer masking as ecoli. The next two weeks are going to be a whirlwind as the nurse said between the blood work and the testing and scans. My mom has to pay $200 a day to be able to get the scans needed to ensure the cancer didn’t Metastasize to other major organs. She will be off work at least 6-8 weeks if everything goes as planned. I don’t know about anyone else but I can speak for my self and my siblings our mom means the world to us! She is the glue that holds us together! All my life my mom raised us to be better and do better. I recall a time we were At Walmart and a little boy wanted a spider man costume but the family couldn’t afford it and put it back and my mom went and picked it up and bought for the kid as we chased them thru the parking lot , and when he seen my mom purchased the costume the family was so thankful, for a costume of a fake super hero! My mom is my real super hero, she loves her children and her grandchildren to infinity, as well as all your children! She is just a kind soul, she is feisty and I hope thru this fight she stays feisty! Any donations , or prayers are so appreciated- Jan 24 is her game plan with the surgeon and Feb 1 is the surgery ❤️
