Oregon Ambassadors of Music European Tour

Hello, my name is Jason Keck and I am a junior at Southridge High School. The music director at my school nominated me to participate in a performance tour of Europe through the Oregon Ambassadors of Music! OAM is an honor band and choir comprised of Oregon's finest high school music students under the leadership of some of the state’s finest music educators. OAM has been taking Oregon music students on performance tours since 1995.

 

My nomination was based on character, leadership, and musicianship. I am very proud to represent my community, state, and country. My hope is that you, too, can see the incredible opportunity this is.

 

The 15 day tour includes performances at festivals while gaining cultural experience and earning college credit. One performance I’m really looking forward to is playing music for, and paying respect to WWII fallen soldiers at the Normandy American Cemetery in a wreath-laying ceremony.

 

The Tour is July 6-20 and we will be performing in the following places: Normandy France, Paris France, Crans-Montana Switzerland, Zermatt Switzerland, Seefeld Austria, Innsbruck Austria, Salzburg Austria, and Rothenburg Germany.

 

The total cost is $6,593. To earn this money, I am working a part-time job, collecting bottles and cans, doing yard work for neighbors and this Go-Fund-Me. If you can help, it would be greatly appreciated. Every single dollar helps! Thank you!
