Becoming an RN

Born in the Ivory Coast, raised in Ghana and traveled to America, the land of opportunity in 1995.  I’ve been in America for over 20 years, unable to get a real job, benefit from financial aid or travel back home because of my immigration status.  Those 20 years plus is a book in itself to explain; however, by the Grace of God, I was interviewed in 2019 and approved the same day I started my orientation for Nursing school.  God’s time is the best.  My time in America has been dedicated to giving, building, improving/supporting the lives of those around me in my community by simply just being available and teaching my passion for dance.  I have danced and taught for multiple schools, and dance studios from Garth Fagan to the School of the Arts.  I received a BA in Psychology at St. John Fisher college where I was awarded the Ruth Ann Constantino Senior award for demonstrating outstanding academic improvement throughout my college career and just recently I applied and won a scholarship given by COVID-19 Live ROC Grant for $640.   I believe the time has now come for me to heed to a destiny call from God in the field of Nursing.  The Accelerated Nursing Program is an intense one year education divided into 3 semesters costing $75,000.  I’ve paid $50,000 with the help of loans, family, friends, and have completed 2/3 semesters and starting the 3rd on May 11, 2020 to graduate August of 2020.  Due to the COVID-19, loan companies are not giving out student loans.  To be able to get your help to build $5,000 will be a major  contribution to my 3rd semester tuition.  The funds will need to be paid before August in order for me to be able to take the NCLEX.  In everyone’s story is their power;  shaped by unique experiences that makes them who they are.  This is mine and I invite you to be a part of the vision, the journey, and the achievements.   Thank you advance.
