Let’s Conquer Cancer for Ken Lucier!

My brother, Ken, began suffering severe back pain in mid-November. He kept thinking it would go away, but finally decided to get it checked out. Unfortunately, the news came hard. Cancer. Advanced stage bladder cancer.
It’s shocking news for anyone, but as I am sure most people can relate, it’s truly shocking and heartbreaking when you hear a diagnosis for someone you love.
Ken is an amazing person. Son, brother, husband, father, and Christian. He served in the United States Army and has also been a firefighter. He is a spiritual person, always the first to offer prayers or support for others. He is a realist that has seen many dark roads in his life. He has overcome many obstacles and knows where his heart resides, spiritually with God. In sixty years, he as seen some of the best …. and some of the worst the planet has to offer. In all of that, he chooses happiness, always.
Ken loves life. His daughters and grandchildren hold a special place in his heart, and he enjoys spending time with all his family. He loves Harleys and exploring different places. Learning new things is also a passion, and he even taught himself how to play the mandolin. Ken has lived in various states around the country including Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Florida and New York. When he returned to Western New York, Ken had a chance to re-connect with family; and he also found a new outlook on life. The Universe was truly with him as he met Linda and they fell in love. He asked me to become an ordained minister so that I could perform the wedding ceremony for him and Linda. I’m happy to do anything that I possibly can for my family.
As optimistic as Ken is, he now must face a worrisome foe. He must face this struggle with complete fortitude. The near future will include many doctor visits, details of the diagnosis and medications. Truly a journey that no one wishes to take.
Medications have left him unable to work. Any funds collected will help with outstanding medical bills (already exceeding $10,000); and living expenses.
We are truly appreciative of any help to support Ken. Love, encouragement, and prayers are also incredible gifts.
Will you please join us in the battle? Thanks, and God Bless You!
