My name is LaMontre Gillard, and I’m an independent filmmaker from Oklahoma.
I recently started my production company, LemonTree Horror Films, with the goal of creating original horror films that feel real and stay with you.
My first project, A Soft Knock, is a horror short about a young woman staying alone in her parents’ house where something inside isn’t what it seems.
The longer she stays in the house, the more it begins to feel like something else is there with her—watching, waiting.
Horror has always been a big part of my life growing up. It’s what inspired me to start making films, and now I finally have the opportunity to bring my own ideas to life—and that’s something I’m genuinely excited about.
This is something I’ve been working toward for a long time, and now it’s finally starting to happen.
I’ll be developing and preparing this project throughout 2026, with plans to film in October 2027.
I’m raising funds to help cover essential production costs such as camera and lighting equipment, location expenses, sound recording, production design, wardrobe, props, meals for cast and crew, and post-production including editing and sound.
Every contribution goes directly into bringing this project to life.
If you’re able to support, even a small amount helps more than you know. And if you can’t donate, sharing this means just as much.
Thank you for being part of the beginning of LemonTree.
