Update:
she’s been home for 2 weeks and she’s recovering well. i am working on getting Willow to gain weight. She lost 5.7 pounds during her hospitalisation.
though i do have insurance for willow, it only covered 10% off her entire hospital bill.
please donate if you can. Any amount will be appreciated
thank you!
My name is Megan and Willow is our latest adopted dog and one of our four dogs. She loves to eat, play, and run around with her dog siblings. Her favorite thing to do is steal Walter’s (our 3rd adopted dog) food.
Last week, she was vomiting and wasn’t able to keep anything down. She went to the vet, and they took her X-ray, gave her fluids, and anti-nausea medication. Dr. Wu (her vet) said if she continues to vomit or if there is loss in appetite, she will likely need surgery for the blockage in her gastrointestinal area (but hoping it can be done without surgery). Thankfully, she stopped vomiting, started eating more and was getting better. But suddenly, she refused food, even her favorite treats. She would turn her head away from her food. She was no longer the voracious eater who often ended up in air jail from stealing Walter’s food. She has Strangulating inguinal hernia and needs emergency surgery tonight (10/30/25)
We need help paying for her medical bill. If we could pay the vet bill ourselves, we would. But since my husband lost his job, and I do what I can with my side gig while taking care of my mom with Alzheimer’s, we wouldn’t be able to get her the medical care she needs. We don’t want her to not get the treatment she needs just because of our current unfortunate circumstances.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story.
