Support Redwood Roots Farm Cooperative!

Hi, we are Carolan, Jasmin, and Rhonwen, three local farmers and friends of Redwood Roots Farm. Our mentor, Janet, is ready to retire and has given us the incredible opportunity to buy this beloved farm! Redwood Roots has provided food, flowers, agricultural education, and a peaceful place for community members to gather for over 20 years. We are committed to continuing this tradition as the new owners and are forever grateful for Janet’s generosity and knowledge. With help from Cooperation Humboldt and the North Coast SBDC, we have formed a worker cooperative and will be the official worker-owners of the farm in November. We chose the cooperative structure because we value an equitable work environment, true democratic leadership, and land as a community resource accessible to future farmers. We are excited to be part of a more cooperative economy in Humboldt! If you want to be part of this thrilling change, we ask for your support in raising $13,700 to cover the remaining downpayment to buy the land.
