Help with Charlie's vet bills

My incredible cat Charlie was rushed to the vet yesterday and it turns out he had fluid surrounding his lungs and could barely breathe. They did a thoracocentesis to get rid of the fluid and have now sent it to the lab for testing, along with some blood tests. At the moment, we don't know what is wrong with him - but depending on his diagnosis we might need to do more tests or just get him some medicine so that he can heal properly and still have some years ahead of him. If the diagnosis turns out to be poor... we might be forced to make a very tough decision, and we might have to say goodbye. We are in limbo right now, we don't know much - all we know is we have an unexpected $1500 vet bill that could turn out to be even more once we find out how we have to proceed, it's been very overwhelming emotionally and financially. We are crossing our fingers for the best case scenario because Charlie is truly the sweetest, kindest, most wonderful cat we could ask for.

I'm currently dealing with a concussion that makes it hard to work as I get nauseous/dizzy, and I'm having lots of difficulty concentrating and experiencing some brain fog - so I'm trying to take some time off work, and additionally the film industry which was my full time industry for several years now is really suffering, which has put me in a tough financial spot. So while I really debated making this GoFundMe and it's typically so hard for me to ask for help, I figured maybe I should just turn to my community for this one.
