Help My Mom Fight Cancer

My mom, Pamela Cordova de Villegas, was diagnosed with Paget's/invasive breast cancer in 2019 and by the time they diagnosed her it had already metastasized. She had a double mastectomy/hysterectomy and went through chemotherapy. It seems it has now spread to her liver and we aren't sure where else because we don't have the results yet from Caja (Costa Rica's public healthcare system) This process started over 5 weeks ago and she has been to two oncologists and would like to be able to consider alternate methods of treatment. Her next appointment with Caja is not until July 6th, when they'll give her the rest of her results.

In most cases where metastatic cancer spreads to the liver, the prognosis is very poor. Caja is a very slow system and it takes anywhere from weeks to months to move forward, get test results, run tests or get treatment. We are waiting for the rest of the results but at this point in time it's considered inoperable. She describes the pain is worse than childbirth and tries not to take much of the pain medication they've given her because while it does help a little, she knows it's damaging to her liver.

We are looking into stem cell treatment and other alternative treatments however; that will run $1000's of dollars and we don't have that kind of overage. The financial stress this has caused on our family has been hard, considering the money that was used for her previous treatment is still being paid back.

My mom does not usually like to ask for help, so I am doing it for her because I know this is one of our final options as she cannot move forward with any sort of alternate medicine route without financial support.
