Hats off (and masks on) to our Freshman Class of 2024! Their high school senior year went virtual overnight with no warning and they kept waiting for each celebratory moment to come - the final senior dance, the big prom night, the chatter, humor and heartbreaks of yearbook signing and goodbyes, and finally their rite of passage to adulthood. They waited, they faced their disappointments and kept going, stronger than ever - College on the horizon! 

Our Q-class has reinvented a crisis-filled summer into one of hope and service with their creativity and technological savvy. Now they are starting their NYU journey primarily within the 4 walls of their dorm or family room, while surviving Watermelon Chicken salad, or trading roommates for family members. And they are 2024 STRONG!

We call on the community to welcome our Freshman Class of 2024 with a small token of our hearts to say “We see you” and “we applaud you.”  Bring your creativity, and your checkbook to help design masks and cookies for this resilient and amazing new group of NYU recruits!

You guessed right! Masks and cookies are generously managed, ordered and delivered to the freshman class (on-campus and remote) by our Parent Extrordinaire Francine Gray Holt! 

We hope to reach as many Freshmen as our funds allow and we believe we can get to all of them because every Freshman counts. So let’s put our heads together (6 ft apart of course!) and make it happen. Any funds in excess go to NYU Student Council and Covid relief.
