NYPD officer in need of assistance (long covid)

Hi, thank you for taking the time to read this post. I have started this fundraiser for my wife Shobha. A police officer with in the NYPD. 1 year ago she contacted Covid while on the job. After multiple hospital and doctors visits we have learned that she will be permanently disabled. She has lung failure, brain fog, and other medical issues related to long covid/ covid lung. Even with a approved line of duty NYPD has stopped "workers compensation" medical coverage and we are currently using our personal insurance for medical care. Unfortunately not all medications and procedures were/will be covered. She can't walk long distance and will require a motorized means of transport. She can't be left alone due to the brain fog, she forgets to take her meds, and is a fall risk. Aid services is not provided by insurance companies. These expenses are and will be out of pocket. In addition to personal stair lift since she can't use the stairs without assistance. While utilities bill have been doubled to run her life support equipment. 

It has been 1 year and since she started this journey and I have tried to fight this battle alone, unfortunately I can't do it alone anymore.

As I write this from next to her bed once again her being admitted to the hospital.

While our first responders were forced to work during this pandemic, at no time did anyone prepare for when they will need help. So the only way to get help is to ask every and anyone for help.
