It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I write this. On the evening of September 18th we lost the beautiful light that was Blaze. He had been struggling with debilitating seizures and was unexpectedly taken from us far too soon.
Blaze was a quiet, loving soul. He worked hard from a young age, saving up because he always wanted to buy his mom and brother a house (they share a one bedroom apartment). When his condition stopped him from driving, he got a bike. When he couldn't work, he studied. He just wanted to live a life, as we all do. He was a supportive son, grandson, cousin, nephew and most of all, a wonderful big brother to Jax.
His mom Melanie has spent years keeping it all going. The doctor appointments, hospital visits, the worry of not being there, missing work when he would have episodes. Self employed, it has been difficult and now as they navigate through the pain of loss, she faces the daunting burden of funeral expenses.
So with much gratitude, love and appreciation for all of you, we are asking for support to provide Melanie and Jax some relief and assistance. Not only for the funeral cost, but to cover rent, groceries, for extra support through counselling and give much needed time for them to grieve and heal.
Thank you.
Blaze (l), Jaxon (m) and Melanie (r) last year at Jaxon's Gr.8 Graduation.
