In 2008, Grace's Dad, Robert Gebhardt, was diagnosed with Renal Cell Carcinoma (RCC) Stage IV. The only treatment available to him was a trial medication and the removal of his Right Kidney. He was blessed to receive a clinical trial medicine for 18 months. He was declared Cancer free (NED) for the next 5 years. Praise God.

Last year in February of 2014, after having pain for a few weeks in the abdomen after shoveling snow he was admitted to the hospital. They performed many tests and biopsies. When we received the results from his tests, which showed that his cancer had formed metastasis in his abdomen, bladder, and lungs, we were devastated . Even though we received this heartbreaking and devastating news, we will remain positive and faithful.

Robert has an 8 year old daughter, Grace, and a 21 year old daughter, Ashlie who is in college at Montclair Univ. His wife is Michelle Gebhardt.  Robert has always been a strong fighter, is dedicated to his family, and a hard worker. Robert until the past few years has always been very involved in bowling, softball and coaching t-ball in town and playing on the Men's softball league.

The proceedings of this fundraiser will be used to help cover medical costs, and daily expenses since Robert has minimal income. Even though we have insurance, the hospital, drug and surgical costs have been extremely high. We are in debt over $25,000 with medical bills , nevermind struggling to pay the mortgage.
