It's a dream come true and the opportunity of a lifetime!
Some of my creations will be walking the runway at Fashion Week! It's so exciting!
As you may know, I have supported Opera Carolina by making dresses from their programs, mailers, and other paper collateral to promote recycling and also opera. I love working alongside them to bring attention to environmental protection in a fashionable and creative way.
My recent creation inspired by "The Barber of Seville" modeled by Jazmin Harward:
The trip is from September 7 - 10 and the funds will go directly toward travel expenses, lodging accommodations, and transportation. With your support, I'll be able to attend and enter the Couture Week show as well as adjacent photo shoots, press opportunities, and networking. It's a lot to pack into a couple days, but I'm excited and determined to make it happen, and digitally take you along with me.
You can get YOUR NAME (or your business name) on the new paper dress I'm working on! Anyone who donates to my NYFW fund, no matter how big or small the donation, will get their name on the dress itself. This dress is walking on the runway at NYFW! (This is excluding anonymous donators, or those who, by request do not want their name on the dress.)
You'll also get to see the dress in person at the opening of Rigoletto (Opera Carolina) at the Blumenthal Center for Performing Arts in February, and it's walking the runway at Charlotte Fashion Week too! I'll also send you photos of your name or your business name on the gown, so you can brag to all your friends (please include an email).
Any funds donated in excess of my goal will go toward future projects like this, and an upcoming fashion art collection I'm currently working on (stay tuned to my Facebook page for updates!)
From the opera "Pagliacci":
I am so thankful for your support! <3
