The NYE that changed my life!

NYE is supposed to be a time of looking forward to the new year. Having just turned 30 and fortunatly leaving my 20s behind, I thought this was going to be the best year of my life. Unfortunatly I had a life changing accident. After being a physiotherapist in London for the year, I was lucky enough to land my dream job as a Physio in Austria for the winter season. Having only been living there for 1 month in St Anton, I found myself waking up in Innsbruck hospital, after being in an induced coma. On new years eve, I sled 30 meters off the mountain and sustained extensive head injuries and a brachial plexus injury of my right arm that I now cannot use. This has resulted in deciding to return back to England but being a bit left. Left by the medical community that is so over run. The only way I can be seen at the moment is if I go privately. At the moment I'm paying for Physiotherapy sessions as I can't work but they are just going on what I've said as there isn't any imaging, consultants, test results etc now to work from as everything is in German and needs translating. This is all very new to me. Not being able to be as independant as I was before, not working as I've worked since the age of 15 and unable to work now and asking for help. Help to regain my health and independance. Any money will go towards my health, the therapy, translation, scans and consultant that I need. If you are still unsure of my injuries and how I have been affected and what I'm doing to get better, I've added whats happened to me to my blog that I had started last year called www.reflectionsinmagenta.com. It asks, write how thankful you will be. At the moment all I can think of is how I've been affected and what I need to do, sorry, at this moment I can't imagine being thankful. Even so, any support I recieve will be greatly appreciated.
