My son and I are preparing for our third missions trip to New York City, partnering with the New York School of Urban Ministry (NYSUM) for their Homeless Outreach. Over the past 37 years, NYSUM has trained and deployed thousands of people for urban ministry, and we’re grateful to be part of this ongoing effort. Each year, groups like ours learn about inner-city ministry through hands-on outreach to the homeless, abused women, at-risk children, and the broader NYC community. We participate in street meetings, soup kitchens, kids’ programs, and city shelters, sharing Christ’s love through the work of our hands.

We’re returning because we love ministering to the homeless and believe in the power of compassion and service. The funds raised will help cover meals, ground transportation, housing, and ministry supplies for both of us. This support is essential for us to join the outreach, and every dollar makes a difference in our ability to serve and positively affect the lives we encounter.

We’ll be in New York City from October 16th through October 18th, and we’d like to have all donations in by August 16th. We’re asking for any financial help, no matter the amount.
