During the 2018/19 school year ALC Brooklyn West and NYC DOE Brooklyn and Bronx youth are learning STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) curriculum, as well as building and racing soap box cars to win a chance to compete in the "National and International" All American Soap Box Derby in Akron Ohio. ALC and NYC DOE-Brooklyn and Bronx school students will check in on June 22 and race on June 23 to win a chance to compete during "Champs" week in Akron in July (14-21). We are in desperate need of funds to cover unforseen race expenses and sponsor our winner/ parent and maybe even their teacher to get to Akron!
