Hi there, I’m Boris and Ivory’s grandma and I’m raising money for an MRI and possible/likely surgery or spinal tap for our sweet little Ivory.

 

As you may have heard, Ivory has taken a turn for the worse. Just this week, she has again been struggling to walk and stand without falling over. It’s just heartbreaking. She hasn’t been herself in months. Since taking various trips to the vet, chiropractor, and most recently the neurologists at Mizzou, the experts have struggled to find out/fix what is wrong with Miss Ivory. After undergoing multiple rounds of physical exams, blood work, x-rays, and medications, the most they have been able to do is pinpoint that the pain is coming from her neck. Without an MRI, there is nothing more they can do.

 

I know Ivory’s parents are hesitant to ask for money, but also can’t stand to watch their baby in pain, so I’m asking on behalf of them. An MRI costs anywhere from $2,500 to $5,000 and surgery or spinal tap costs between $1,500 to $3,000. The neurologists said once Ivory is out for the MRI and they are able to find the issue, they would likely like to proceed with the surgery that same day. Since they didn’t find anything on the x-ray, the doctors are optimistic the MRI would provide the additional clarification they need.
