Aaron's Bar Mitzvah Project
Donation protected
I have grown up visiting the Philadelphia Zoo and it has always had a special place in my heart. My parents and grandfather took me to the Zoo regularly since I was first able to walk. It is fitting that for my Bar Mitzvah I am reading Parsha Noah. The story of Noah and the animals who were saved on the ark.
For my Bar Mitzvah project I am raising money to purchase enrichment toys for my favorite animals, the Western lowland gorillas. When you visit a zoo you may notice barrels, mirrors, toys, and other devices within the animal habitat. These objects serve as animal enrichment. They play an important role because it provides animals the opportunity to stimulate natural behaviors and improve their overall physical and mental well-being.
Working with the zookeeper in charge of the gorillas, I am looking to purchase devices for the gorillas that will help encourage foraging behaviors and play. Due to their natural strength and intelligence, the zookeeper picked out specific toys designed for gorillas.
Please join me in making a donation that will help me purchase these special enrichment toys for the gorillas at the Philadelphia Zoo. Any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
