Hiiii, I’m Nya

I’m incredibly honored and excited to share that I have been selected to compete as a contestant in Miss New York USA 2026.

If you had told me a few years ago that I would be preparing for a pageant, I probably wouldn’t have believed you. I’ve always seen myself as a singer, songwriter, actress, and storyteller—but never as a model. This opportunity has challenged me to see myself in a new light and step confidently into spaces I once thought weren’t meant for me.

Many of you know me from my journey as a Top 14 finalist on American Idol, from Broadway and Off-Broadway stages, or through the music I’ve shared over the years. While performing has always been my first love, modeling has quietly been a dream I’ve carried with me for a long time. When I learned I had been selected to compete for Miss New York USA, I knew this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to take a leap of faith and pursue that dream.

This will be my very first pageant, and I’m both excited and humbled to begin this new chapter.

As I prepare for the competition, there are many expenses involved, including competition fees, coaching, wardrobe, travel, accommodations, and preparation costs. Every contribution, no matter the size, helps me move one step closer to representing New York on the Miss New York USA stage.

More than anything, I hope to show others that it’s never too late to pursue a dream, even one that looks different from the path you’ve always imagined for yourself.
